Whats up MyTri folks.  Hopefully everybody is well into their training plans for the year and having fun.  For me, i am training for my first 140.6 and things are goin pretty well.  In early March, i locked up the brakes and wound up with a dislocated shoulder which sidelined me (sort of) for a week or two.  as i mounted my comeback, i was struck with gratitude for the ability just to participate.  over the past few years, i have joined with Paul in fundraising for the MS society through his I Run group (the Karma Striders).  I also participate separately in the City Shore ride each year.

This year, i deceided to focus my fundraising for the MS society on the City to Shore ride which is an awesome event.  I am also embarking on a new endeavor to support a charity called The Disposable Heroes Project.  Below is a link to my fundraising page for the Ironman u.s championships in NYC this August. i'll be attempting my first IM and you can sponsor me to benefit wounded veterans and families of fallen soldiers. check out the disposable heroes project on facebook, and click through to http://ironman.kintera.org/uschampionship2012/disposableheroesproject to donate.

Thanks.  Be safe, and have fun training.
