CGI Northeast triathlon 09'.

Today CGI racing held their annual North East triathlon just down I-95 in the cozy little town of North East Md.

After a quick 50 minute traffic free jaunt down 95, parking was effortless which was a nice surprise.

As usual, the weather was hot, but what else would you expect in mid-august. This usually leads to a race-day decision on wetsuits. Today the water at race time read in at 85, so NO wetsuits. Not even if you were willing to sacrifice a chip time.

If we were closer to the event I would recommend running in this weather.

Also, If you are early in… Continue

She loves me, she loves me not. That was the game of chance played by the organizers, volunteers, and athletes alike today for the annual SheRox sprint triathlon in Philadelphia's beautiful Fairmount park. Mother nature seemed to turn from NOT loving, with the early pre-race rains to Loving as she cleared the air for the start of the race. The organizers had to do the right thing and make the always difficult and unpopular adjustment from triathlon to a duathlon. Debris in the, now strongly… Continue
