yesterday i attempted the Conestoga 10 mile trail run/race. It is billed as the toughest 10 miles on the east coast.
Participants climb nearly 3,000 feet and pass through one of the most beautiful and scenic areas in PA. Among the most notable are the Wind Caves (one of the largest tectonic caves in the Eastern US), House Rock Vista, Tucquan Glen, Pinnacle Overlook, and Kelly's Run.

saturday was my off day and my daughters first soccer game of the year. she played tough and despite being a little one wasnt afraid to mix it up with the bigger kids. then it was off to a community park event so my daughter could ride some ponies and the boy could learn about muskets and WWII german weaponry from reenactors. back home for some dinner w/ our friend frank and his girls and the traditional prerace building of kitchen cabinets. went to bed around 10pm.…Continue
so this sunday 9/12/2010 was my first half ironman distance race. earlier this year i did the black bear sprint and philly olympic duathlon, then started an 8 week training plan from midatlantic multipsport. it was a challenging plan for me, having never followed a formal training schedule. i dont think i would have been able to finish the half without it, or maybe if i did finish it would have taken me a lot longer. another thing i did was take a few days off work before the race to relax…Continue

A true triathlete can never walk away from the BEST sport on earth!! After a walk through a dismal dark valley..I've resurfaced and will be racing my ONLY tri for the year next month...The Bassman Sprint!!
I will also tackle the Philly Half again in November. Really looking forward to beating my time last year.
