Back in the saddle again!!

A true triathlete can never walk away from the BEST sport on earth!! After a walk through a dismal dark valley..I've resurfaced and will be racing my ONLY tri for the year next month...The Bassman Sprint!!

I will also tackle the Philly Half again in November. Really looking forward to beating my time last year.

Oh and there's more.. :-D I signed up for a mararthon in Portland, Oregon..October 2011.

Climbing out of a valley......

Odd..I have fallen into a valley after finishing my Half Marathon; actually I've been this way ever since I completed my 1st Oly in September. My enthusiasm and zeal dropped then climbed again for the Half..then it slid back down to rock bottom. Both events took an emotional toll on me because I was afraid and didn't believe I could finish..but I did & the feeling was unbelievable. I remember walking on clouds for at least a week. Nation's Triathlon 2009 and Mental Toughness...

I subconsciously tried to SABOTAGE myself so that I wouldn't be allowed to race.....

Usually on race day I'm out the door at 5:00 a.m. However on Sunday September 20, I didn't wake UP till 4:45a.m.

Patriot's Triathlon

The Patriot's Triathlon is located in Bath, PA. & it took place on August 3rd. It's a 650m lake swim, 13.5mi technical course w/rolling hills & a 3.1mi run.



The morning of the race, it was raining..HARD. Visibility on the turnpike wasn't that great, but I thought weather would clear up.



Arrived at site and now there's a MAJOR downpour. My concern was how much Body Glide would I need to get into my short john & wnen to brake during the bike becase I'd never rode… Continue

Hi! I did run Portland this year, its a great city, it was my first, and I ran it in a down pour! Definitely prepare for rain!
